PRONUNCIATION EVALUATING DEVICE AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pronunciation evaluating device and a program capable of evaluating degree of similarity between an input speech and an object of comparison speech with high accuracy and at high speed. SOLUTION: The pronunciation evaluating device comprises: a speech receiving section storing one or more teacher data which is speech data on an object of comparison and which is data based on a Hidden Markov Model (HMM) of each phoneme, and receiving input of speeches; a frame dividing section dividing the received speech into frames; a frame speech data acquisition section acquiring one or more frame speech data which is speech data of each of the divided frames; an evaluating section evaluating, based on the teacher data and the one or more frame speech data, speech received by the speech receiving section; and an output section outputting the evaluation result of the evaluating section. Thus, the degree of similarity between the input speech and the object of comparison speech can be evaluated with high accuracy. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
