<p>Method and apparatus for degreasing metal sheets (4) in a continuous process in a production line, wherein the sheets (1) to be cleaned are advanced on a support structure (2) through a first (5, 6) and a second set (5', 6') of rollers defining a liquid-sealed degreasing zone (Z) between them because of liquid-sealant connecting lines, each of which are defined by the intersection of a roller and a sheet surface, thereby confining the liquid to said zone; and a liquid supply pipe (8) and a brush belt (7) brushing liquid and dissolved grease across sheets (1) and off the side edges thereof. The spent liquid is squeezed off the sheet along the connecting lines.</p> |
