PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always execute optimum photographing mode switching operation by changing a photographing mode switching threshold in response to change of a photographing direction and a photographing field angle of an image pickup device. SOLUTION: Places of photographing scenes where a user desires to watch carefully are arbitrarily set as preset positions. The image pickup device has unique information such as the photographing direction, photographing field angle, luminance, color or photographing mode switching threshold as the unique information specialized in each photographing scene of the preset positions. When the photographing mode switching operation is executed, a threshold is set by using at least one unique information. It is possible to always execute optimum photographing in response to change of scenes by using the photographing mode switching threshold while interpolating it in a photographing scene not included in regions of the preset positions.
