<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear coming-off preventing mechanism wherein a gear is prevented from being moved to the axial direction and from coming off by gravity from a gear shaft with a gear assembled, the gear shaft is easily assembled in a casing, and the gear itself can be easily attached to the gear shaft. <P>SOLUTION: A C-ring having a fastening force to a diameter reducing direction and having an inside diameter (d) in a free state smaller than an outside diameter D of a counter shaft 14 is fitted in such a manner of being relatively rotatable in an inner peripheral groove 71 along a circumferential direction formed on the inner peripheral surface of a drive gear A2, and the movement of the drive gear A2 to the counter shaft 14 axial direction is prevented by the fastening force of the C-ring to the diameter reducing direction. A male spline 33 formed on the counter shaft 14 and a female spline 31 formed on the drive gear A2 are fitted, and a tilt angleθof a tapered part 75 formed at the end of the counter shaft 14 is set to be an angle wherein the tapered part 75 and the C-ring 72 are not abutted on each other at least until the male spline 33 and the female spline 31 start to be engaged.
