PURPOSE:To provide an electronic musical instrument capable of varying a change range for changing the timbres of the musical tones to be produced by an operator. CONSTITUTION:This electronic musical instrument has a musical tone synthesizing section 17 having a series connection of a variable filter for changing the timbres according to parameters to be inputted and a variable delay element capable of changing pitches, the performance operator 15 capable of generating signals indicating at least the pitches according to performance operations, a timbre selecting means 14 for generating the signals indicating the selected timbres, a memory RAM 13 for reading out the first parameter to determine the timbres in accordance with the signals indicating the selected timbres, a musical tone parameter operator 16 for changing the timbres, an operation value converting means for forming the conversion value corresponding to the operator position and a parameter forming means for forming a second parameter according to the first parameter stored in a memory and the value converted by the operation value converting means and supplying this parameter to the musical tone forming means. |
