An oxygenate to olefins conversion reactor system with a riser reactor having an inlet for feed, an inlet for catalyst and an outlet; and a gas/solids separator having an inlet for the reactor effluent, an outlet for products, and an outlet for catalyst; wherein the gas/solids separator inlet is directly coupled to the riser reactor outlet such that all of the reactor effluent directly enters the gas/solids separator.
