PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a streak is generated in a read image due to impact of dust at the time of image reading, and correct blank determination is impossible.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus has detection means for detecting a streaky image from the image data obtained by reading a document, acquisition means for acquiring the feature amount from a plurality of regions obtained by dividing the region of the document, respectively, judgement means for judging whether or not the document is a blank paper, by using the feature amount acquired by the acquisition means and the threshold thereof, and determination means for determining the threshold of the feature amount acquired by the acquisition means to different values for a first region including the streaky image detected by the detection means out of the region, and a second region not including the streaky image detected by the detection means out of the region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17 |
