The sealing cap automatically compensates the pressure or vacuum inside the vessel by means of a diaphragm with central hole clamped in it. A rigid conical disc bears against the diaphragm and has in the centre a round protruding surface over which the diaphragm is held taut. From this surface radial channels run outwards to pressure compensation holes in the disc. The disc(4) has concentric to the central protruding surface (4') a series of annular channels (4"), joined to each other by further channels leading to the protruding surface. The diaphragm is held taut against the edges of these channels in a truncated-cone shape. |
