<p>PURPOSE:To provide a diesel particulate filter for collecting particulates in exhaust gas by ceramic fiber and incinerating the particulates by heating. CONSTITUTION:A composite filter plate 1 is formed of a filter thin plate 2 made of ceramic fiber, heating wire 4 and metal gauze 3. The composite filter plate 1 is bent and formed into bellows shape, and the bellows is formed into a circular cylinder body 20 to enlarge passage cross-sectional area. The filter thin plates 2 is protruded from the end part of the cylinder body 20, and these protruding parts 17 are bent to close the annular end part of the cylinder body. The heating wire 4 is formed into a self-current control type using material mainly composed of Ni with the resistance value becoming large in response to temperature rise. Particulates collected into the filter thin plate 2 is heated and incinerated by feeding a current to the heating wire 4.</p> |
