PURPOSE:A cosmetic having improved spread, improved adhesivity, smoothness, covering power, luster and improved moldability, containing nonswelling or limitedly swelling type synthetic mica shown by a specific structural formula. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing 0.1-99wt% synthetic mica shown by the formula I (commas in parentheses show and/or). The synthetic mica does not swell in water at all or swells but neither is processed into fine particles nor dispersed and, for example, is obtained by blending 40pts.wt. silicic anhydride with 30pts.wt. magnesium oxide, 13pts.wt. aluminum oxide and 17pts.wt. potassium silicofluoride, melting the blend at 1,400-1,500 deg.C and crystallizing at 1,300-1,400 deg.C in the case of fluorine Phlogopite shown by the formula II. Further low deteriorating action on perfume and oil may be cited as characteristics of the cosmetic. |
