PURPOSE:To achieve a higher resolution effectively while utilizing incident information, by receiving two light emissions different in the wavelength and waveform separately from a plurality of light emitting bodies totally through corresponding filters. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of light emitting bodies 1A-1C with the same characteristic forming a scintillator generate two kinds of light emissions different in the waveform and wavelength separately. These emissions correspond to the respective light emitting bodies 1A-1C and are all received by a light receiving surface 10 where a photoelectric conversion is performed via filters 3A-3C with the transmission wavelength characteristic that varies the transmissivity to the two kinds of emissions. This allows a decision circuit 100 to determine which one of the light emitting bidies 3A-3C is excited. Thus, a higher resolution is achieved effectively utilizing incident information without special operation for a higher resolution, for example, providing a mesh electrode to perform a light detection only for a specified photoelectric surface.
