<p>The scissors-type lifting mechanism is for a platform. Its four lowermost legs (5-8) are coupled in pairs at their bottom ends to driven rotary gears (4) rigidly fixed to shafts (3). The gears mesh with pinions (12) driven so that they rotate in opposite directions. The pinions are fixed to auxiliary shafts (11) driven via worm gears (13). The legs are coupled to the gears so that, with the platform in the lowermost position, the pivot axes (9) are always below their outermost position. With the platform in the uppermost position they are always below thier innermost position.</p> |
