<p>A process and apparatus are provided for adding fibrous additives such as polyester fibres to a fluff pulp which is useful as disposable diapers and incontinence pads. The apparatus comprises means for separating additive or enhancing fibres from a body of such fibres, such as a card sliver; means for adding the separated fibres to fluff pulp in a predetermined manner; and means for forming an absorbent product core or element from the fluff pulp.</p> |
