PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for as certaining the prices of merchandises. SOLUTION: Merchandise items of are labeled by EPLs(electronic price labels). The prices stated by the EPLs can be changed, when sales promotion is effected. For this purpose, the system comprises (a) a rack which has (i) groups of items and (ii) electronic price label EPLs, showing prices changing with the time by groups and (b) a means which checks (i) an item taken out of some group and (ii) confirms the price that the EPL of the item taken out of the group indicates. |
