CHARACTER PASTING METHOD FOR PORTABLE TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character pasting method which permits excellent character input on a portable terminal. SOLUTION: On a display panel 30, a character input wait display for sending mail generation processing is made (Fig. 5 (a)) and when a key 'CP' is pressed, a function selection menu is displayed (Fig. 5 (b)). Then character string pasting processing is started and character string data are displayed on the display panel 30 (Fig. 5 (c)). After the character string data are selected as pasted data, it is decided whether the character string data includes an input-inhibited character. When so, a warning sentence is displayed on the display panel 30 (Fig. 5 (d)). When a command to execute the pasting processing is received, the pasting processing for the character string data is performed in the character input wait display.
