摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a cycle time and to improve machining efficiency by shortening the time required for rapid traverse operation of a laser scan head in a laser beam machining robot system. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam machining robot system 10 is equipped with a manipulator 12, a laser beam machining tool 14 mounted on the manipulator 12, and a control unit 16 for controlling the operation of the manipulator 12 and the laser beam machining tool 14. The laser beam machining tool 14 is equipped with the laser scan head 18 containing a movable mirror 20 and a movable supporting mechanism 22 movably supporting the laser scan head 18. The control unit 16 is equipped with a rapid traverse controller 24 which makes the laser scan head 18 perform the rapid traverse operation by controlling the operation of the movable supporting mechanism 22 at the time of non-machining when the laser scan head 18 does not emit the laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
