A method of attaching a waterproof vinyl to a shoe is provided to form a waterproof space for the entire portion of a user's foot and ankle excluding the bottom of the shoe by attaching a double-faced vinyl to vinyl and to adhere the vinyl along a side of an outsole of a shoe. The method of attaching a waterproof vinyl to a shoe is to enclose the shoe with a thin vinyl for waterproof purpose. The vinyl is attached along the side of an outsole of the shoe excluding the bottom surface of the shoe to form a waterproof space up to a user's ankle, to prevent user's sock and shoe from being soaked with water and to prevent the vinyl from being torn. A thin vinyl having a length longer than circumference of the shoe and a width of enclosing the user's ankle and a double faced tape are required.
