A movable section (4) is mounted slidingly with respect to the fixed section. Returning channels (44a, 44b) include recesses which are disposed opposite to each other for forming a passage to a fixation screw (12). A head of the screw has width larger than width (f) of a slit (52) which separates the channels at a separation of the recesses along a transversal direction (Y). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for a seat of a motor vehicle (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The head of the screw has the width larger than the width of the slit which separates the channels at the separation of the recesses along the transversal direction, thus allowing to reduce the width of the slide along the transversal direction without the need for reducing the width of the screw head, and hence rendering the slide compact and light weight.
