PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-coated metallic rope completely coated to the corners of the protrusions and recesses of the surface, almost keeping the bending flexibility of the original metallic rope before coating, having high corrosion resistance and good appearance, producible at a low cost and having desired diameter. SOLUTION: Resin powder is directly applied to the whole circumference of the surface of a strand obtained by twisting≥3 metallic element wires, and a plurality of the strands are twisted to obtain the metallic rope coated with resin powder.
