1,137,200. Time switches. INDUSTRIAL TIMER CORP. 28 Nov., 1967 [7 Dec., 1966], No. 54113/67. Heading H1N. Upon energization a geared synchronous motor (16, Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) drives a cam 18 (via a friction clutch) until lobe 64 engages roller 65 on lever 19 to depress the plunger 35 of a change-over switch 20; a stop 79 on cam 18 then engages a fixed stop 84 at C to stall the cam 18, the clutch slipping until the motor is de-energized. On de-energization of the motor, preferably by operation of switch 20, a spring 85 returns cam 18 to a home position defined by the stop 79 engaging a stop 78 which is adjustable by a knob (17, Figs. 1 and 3, not shown) on the front of the casing, thereby setting the time delay between energization of the motor and actuation of switch 20. A screw 76 in arm 19 provides preset fine adjustment. The range of timing cycles may be changed by changing the motor (16) which is secured by screws (45, Fig. 2, not shown) also securing a lower part (24) of the casing cover in position; this also locks the upper cover part (23) in position with ribs (50, Fig. 13, not shown) thereon engaging the casing main wall (28). |
