1277380 Double plush looms LINDOUER DORNIER GmbH 3 June 1970 [30 July 1969] 26833/70 Heading D1E A loom for weaving two superposed fabrics, has two weft inserting gripper needles 10, 20 on opposite sides of the loom and driven in opposite directions for inserting weft in the upper and lower sheds respectively. The needles 10, 20 are reciprocated by pinions 7 and guided by rollers 8, 9 and the grippers 11, 21 comprise spring loaded pivotable jaw elements 16, 26 which are lowered and released to release an inserted weft end and grip a newly presented end, by fingers 13, 15 and 23, 25. The grippers 11, 21 rest on guides 14, 24 when they are open during weft presentation, which guides may be pivotable away from the grippers (Fig. 5, not shown). The pinions 7 are driven through gear trains (5) Fig. 1 (not shown) by a common shaft (4) connected through a belt (3) to a motor (2). |
