PURPOSE: A system and a method for monitoring the progress of newspaper typesetting in real time are provided to monitor the typesetting by monitoring an error of the typesetting on a typesetting machine in real time and suggesting modification in real time. CONSTITUTION: A server(20) processes and stores the page information, which is the text information transmitted from the typesetting machine(10), and a graphic file. A monitoring computer(50) receives the page information and the graphic file from the server(20) and monitors it in real time. The server includes a process module modifying the typesetting by receiving an instruction message from a manager of the monitoring computer(50) and transmitting it to the corresponding typesetting machine(10).
