PURPOSE:To automatically erase a direction indicating mark which has been displayed on a display screen by providing a present position detecting means, a display control means, a destination data storage part and a display cancel command means, etc. CONSTITUTION:The title device is provided with a present position detecting means 4, a display control means 8, a destination data storage part 11, a display cancel command means, etc. In this state, for instance, when a direction indicating mark for meaning 'left turn' has been displayed on a display screen 9, a driver flickers a direction indicating lamp by operating a direction indicator 12, and thereafter, turns to the left by operating a handle. The display cancel command means detects a fact that the indicator 12 has been operated, and in accordance with this detection signal, the direction indicating mark is erased from the screen 9. Also, when a vehicle has approached a designated intersection, if a direction indicating mark for meaning 'go straight on' is displayed on the screen 9, the display cancel command means erases the direction indicating mark from the screen, when a display time of the mark has exceeded a prescribed time. In such a way, the indicating mark is erased automatically from the screen. |
