PURPOSE: An external DSLAM(Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) device in an xDSL system is provided to be installed in an outdoor place for many subscribers crowded in an xDSL service-incapable area, thereby supplying an xDSL service regardless of distance and external environment. CONSTITUTION: Many splitter boards transmit data and voice signals to subscribers, separate subscriber signals into voice signals and data, and transmit the voice signals and the data to digital subscriber processing boards(10), respectively. A rectifier(300) inputs an AC power to change the AC power into a DC power, and supplies the DC power. A battery(400) charges the DC power, and supplies an emergency power. A housing(100) mounts the rectifier(300) and the digital subscriber processing boards(10) in self type on the left, mounts the splitter boards on the right, mounts the battery(400) in a lower part, and mounts the first door on a front side as well as the second door on the right. A cooler mounted on the back of the housing(100) cools off an internal air of the housing(100). A pan unit(600) circulates the cooled air.
