IC CARD PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION TICKET, TICKET BARRIER DEVICE, AND TICKET EXAMINATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically display and renew displayed information on a ticket if necessary in conjunction with a ticket barrier device, a ticket examination device, and a ticket issuing device in a non-contact type IC card passenger transportation ticket. SOLUTION: A system consisting of the non-contact type IC card 1 having an electronically renewable displaying function on the card, the ticket issuing device 2, the ticket barrier device 3, the ticket examination device 6 and a central processing unit 4 is constructed. The IC card 1 is used as the passenger transportation ticket, and the displaying function 14 automatically renews the ticket information renewed by exchange of information between the IC card 1 and the respective devices when a user purchases/renews the card by means of the ticket issuing device 2 or when the card is passed through the ticket barrier device 2 or examined on a vehicle by means of the ticket examination device 6. If the IC card is a composite ticket as the passenger transportation ticket, respective ticket functions can be switched for display by means of a button on the card.
