PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a mold for molding barrier ribs of a PDP(plasma display panel) bottom plate is provided to remove difficulty for shape change after pressing the mold, and cracks due to non-uniformity of molding pressure, and allow mass production at low cost. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a mold for molding barrier ribs of a PDP bottom plate comprises X-ray exposure, photosensitive material development, core metal mold formation, plastic production, assembling, and ceramic green sheet pressing. At the X-ray exposure step, polymer photosensitive material is applied to a conductive plate. At the development step, the polymer photosensitive material is developed to form a polymer photosensitive structure having a barrier rib structure. At the core metal mold formation step, a metal is electrically plated on the photosensitive structure, the photosensitive structure removed, and the plated metal is separated from the plate to form a metal mold. At the plastic production step, the core metal mold and a mechanically processed mold are combined to form a production mold and many high strength plastic molds(280), each having a unit volume, are produced. At the assembling step, the high strength plastic molds(280) are assembled to form a mold(330) for a large scale PDP bottom plate barrier rib. At the ceramic green sheet pressing step, the mold(330) is pressed to a ceramic green sheet.
