PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone system in which a preparatory operation is facilitated at data communication. SOLUTION: A power supply terminal pad 6 of a portable telephone set 1 is connected to a power terminal pin 8 of a charger 2 and a data communication terminal pad 7 of the portable telephone set 1 is connected to a data communication terminal pin 9 of the charger 2. The charger 2 is provided with a data communication function to make optical communication between the charger 2 and a portable terminal 3, then data communication is easily attained during charging of the portable telephone set 1. Thus, communication is made by using only the portable telephone set 1 at a visit place or outdoor and when it is required to make data communication while the portable telephone set 1 is set to the charger 2, data communication is easily attained by having only to place a portable terminal 3 in an optical communication enable range to the charger 2. |
