PURPOSE:To expand the frequency band of the recording chrominance signal to about two times by frequency-returning the high area component of the inputted chrominance signal to a low area side and compressing the band of the chrominance signal, in a recording circuit part. CONSTITUTION:A Y signal inputted to an input terminal 1 is converted to an FM signal by an FM modulator 4. Next, the frequency component of IMHz or below is removed and supplied to a frequency multiplex circuit 6 by a high pass filter 5. On the other hand, (R-Y) and (B-Y) signals inputted to input terminals 2 and 3 are frequency-limited by low pass filters 7 and 9, and supplied to band compressing circuits 8 and 10. For the output signal of band compressing circuits 8 and 10 and the second carrier signal in which the frequency inputted to an input terminal 12 is f2, perpendicular two-phase balancing modulation is executed respectively by a perpendicular two-phase modulator 13. To the output signal of the frequency multiplex circuit 6, an FM signal and a perpendicular two-phase balancing modulating signal are frequency- multiplexed and supplied to a recording head 18 as a recording electric current. 15 horizontal synchronizing signal separating 16 delaying circuit 14 burst gate.
