The seat (3) has a compartment (2) added to or integrated into its arm-rest. A drawer (4) slides in the compartment and has shelves (6) to store objects and a table (5) that pivots into a horizontal position in front of the seat. The table is supported in its open position by a bracket. The storage shelves can be horizontal, vertical or inclined and they can be fixed or mobile. The table can be in one drawer and there can be other storage drawers or the drawers can pivot round the end of the compartment.
