<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a write time necessary for pixel electrodes. SOLUTION: Plural matrix-arranged pixel units are provided with pixel electrodes for controlling movement of liquid crystal molecules of the pixel units, and preliminary write transistors and main transistors. The preliminary write transistors have drains to be electrically connected with pixel electrodes, gates to be electrically connected with 1st scanning lines, and sources to be connected with 1st data lines, and when the preliminary transistors are activated by the 1st scanning lines, the potential values of the 1st data lines are written in the pixel electrodes. The main transistors have drains to be connected with the pixel electrodes, gates to be connected with 2nd data lines adjacent to the 1st scanning lines, and sources to be connected with 2nd data lines adjacent to the 1st data lines, and when activated by the 2nd scanning lines, the main transistors write the potential values of the 2nd data lines in the pixel electrode. The 1st scanning lines activate the preliminary write transistors and then the 2nd scanning lines activate the main transistors.</p> |
