<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of the membrane-electrode junction of a solid polymer fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: Membrane-electrode junctions are manufactured by spray coating electrolyte films with catalytic ink consisting of a catalyst material, a support, and a solvent.
