PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor with which an image flowing is prevented even under a highly moist environment, the defect of an image due to toner adhesion is prevented, and stable supply of the high-quality image for a long period is provided, and also to provide a method of manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and an electrophotographic apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is formed of at least a photoconducting layer of an amorphous silicon system on a conductive support. The spherical projections formed by abnormal growth during film deposition exist on the extreme surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor: the spherical projections of≥5μm and≤10μm in the diameter when the spherical projections are observed from the surface side, exist at≥70 pieces/cm<SP>2</SP>and≤300 pieces/cm<SB>2</SB>; and the crowns of for spherical projections are polished.
