摘要 An apparatus and a method for recognizing a position of a moving robot are provided to obtain a clear image by controlling a speed of the moving robot and turning on a light source according to the illumination. An apparatus(100) for recognizing a position of a moving robot includes an image acquisition unit(110), an illuminance determining unit(120), a light emitting unit(150), a synchronization unit(130), a light emitting unit controller(140), a driving control unit(160) and a position recognizer(170). The image acquisition part is mounted on a moving robot. The illuminance determining unit determines the illuminance of the spot for obtaining the image. The illuminance determining unit determines illuminance from the image obtained in the image acquisition unit. The light emitting unit emits the light to the spot for obtaining the image. The synchronization unit synchronizes the lighting time of the light emitting unit by the light emitting unit controller and the exposure time of a shutter for obtain the image in the image acquisition unit. The controller controls the light emitting unit according to the determination of the illuminance. The driving controller controls the speed of the moving robot according to the determination of illuminance. The position recognizer compares the pre-stored image with the obtained image and recognizes the position of the moving robot.
