PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand an air bag in the direction originally to be expanded by extending a guide member to guide the air bag so as to be expanded toward the opening direction of an opening part of a casing when the air bag is expanded from a part of an instrument panel along right and left outer circumferential wall parts. SOLUTION: When an air bag 50 feeds the gas from an inflator 40, the air bag 50 is started to inflate so that an air bag door 60 is expanded toward the surface side of an instrument panel 10. A guide wall 12 is extended toward a back side of the instrument panel 10 so that the guide wall covers a part in the vicinity of an opening part 31 of the outer circumferential surface 32 of a casing 30 from the outside. Expansion of the air bag 50 in the lateral direction is prevented by a guide plate 12. As a result, the air bag 50 is smoothly guided by the guide wall 12, and pushes up the air bag door 60 further outwardly. Thus, the air bag 50 can be smoothly expanded in its original expanding direction. |
