PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently reduce the deviation between the tempo for the case of a reproducing and the tempo of playing data by synchronizing the process to the prescribed timing of periodic information, returning to the prescribed reading position among waveform data and successively reading and reproducing the waveform data from the reading position. SOLUTION: A clock generating circuit 40 generates the periodic information having the period corresponding to the waveform reproducing tempo and the beat inputted from a main controller 10 and outputs the information to the controller 10. The reading of the waveform data by a tone generator 50 is synchronized to the periodic information generated by the circuit 40 and the reading of the leading waveform data among the waveform data is returned every time the leading periodic information of the waveforms equivalent to one measure is generated. Thus, even though a small deviation exists between a sample tempo and the tempo of actual waveform data, the start is made coincident at the leading of each measure and the accumulation of the deviation is prevented even though the reproducing processes are repeated. |
