PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable quick position compensation without employing a separate hydraulic source by determining sinking or rise of a car according to deviation between a car reference position and a position where passengers enter and exit, and controlling a flow rate of supply from a hydraulic pump to a hydraulic cylinder or a flow rate of discharge from the hydraulic cylinder to a tank. SOLUTION: When a passenger enters, a car 201 is displaced in the sinking direction and a positive signal is produced as a signal of deviation from a reference position. A motor 213 is driven in the direction of raising the car 201 and a commensurate amount of liquid is delivered from a hydraulic pump 212 through a check valve 210 to a hydraulic cylinder 200 to compensate the position of the car 201 to the reference position. The compensation is stopped upon the deviation signal reaching zero. When the passenger exits, since the car 201 is displaced in the rising direction, a negative signal is produced as the signal of deviation from the reference position. Then, a solenoid proportional valve 211 opens to discharge working liquid in the hydraulic cylinder 200 to a tank 215 to compensate the position of the car 201 to the reference position. |
