: A method of and a device for manufacturing hollow glass articles in which glass charges which are severed from a glass stream are shaped into blanks which are deposited on carriers and which are formed in a subsequent forming operation into hollow articles having an open end; because according to the invention the formed articles are removed from the carriers in a position in which their open end is directed downwards, glass chips cannot drop and adhere in or on the articles.
