PURPOSE:To provide a reduction in the size of a device, etc. by providing respectively a feed port, stopper and crushing device for an empty can and disposing a means for detecting the supply of the empty can to the stopper. CONSTITUTION:The empty can feed port 2 is provided atop a body 1 and a pedal 21 is disposed in the lower part on the front. An arm 2 provided with the pedal 21 is freely oscillatably attached at one end 23 to the body 1. The arm 22 is engaged with an arm 25 in a prescribed position 24 and the arm 25 forms a link mechanism together with arms 27, 28. A hinged door 11 is opened by the link mechanism and the empty can is fed when an operator treads the pedal 21. The can falls in a chute 3 and is stopped by the stopper 31. The feed of the can is detected by the detecting means by which an actuator 32 is operated to drop the can into the crushing device 41. The can is crushed by the operation of a pressing plate 44. |
