PURPOSE:To obtain an electrically conductive porous ceramic tube having high strength and usable as a supporting member for an electrode/electrolyte of a solid-electrolyte fuel cell by synthesizing multiple oxides containing La, Mn and Sr, finely pulverizing the oxides, adding pore-forming agent and calcining the mixture after forming. CONSTITUTION:Multiple oxides expressed by La1-xSrxMnO2 are synthesized by mixing La, Mn and Sr or their compounds and calcining the mixture at 1000-1400 deg.C, preferably 1000-1200 deg.C. The oxides are crushed to fine powder having an average particle diameter of 2-10mum, 100 pts.wt. of the obtained powder is mixed with 2-8 pts.wt. of a pore-forming agent such as acrylic resin powder or carbon black and the mixture is kneaded and formed. The formed article is dried and then calcined at 1300-1600 deg.C, preferably 1350-1450 deg.C to obtain the objective electrically conductive porous ceramic tube.
