PURPOSE:To obtain the play information input device which suits controlling of musical sound elements such as a string rubbing instrument sound by providing a rotary encoder which is driven to rotate by the movement of a tension member moving according to the displacement of an operating element and outputs a digital signal corresponding to the rotation. CONSTITUTION:The play operating element 14 is inserted in an electronic musical instrument 10 through a slit 12a formed in an operation panel surface 12, and its lower and part is fixed to a belt 15, which is tensed by pulleys 16 - 18 provided rotatably to the internal member of the electronic musical instrument 10, so that the pulleys 16 - 18 rotate as the belt 15 moves. Then, the rotary shaft of the rotary encoder 21 is connected to the rotary shaft of the pulley 16 and physical quantities such as the movement quantity, speed, direction, etc., of the operating element 14 are accurately detected from a digital signal from an encoder 21. Consequently, the operating element 14 can be operated at length linearly and the play information input device which suits to control over musical sound elements of the string rubbing instrument sound, etc., is obtained. |
