Dispensing apparatus for a beverage includes a receptacle having a base and a manifold coupled to the base. The manifold includes beverage inlet means, gas inlet means and gas outlet means. The receptacle includes an aperture for receiving a container, for example, a beer glass, and sealing means are provided on the receptacle so that the receptacle may be pressurised. In another aspect, the invention includes a product flow line for conveying the beverage from a storage point to the dispensing apparatus, the flow line including one or more product lines surrounded by a water flow line containing cooled water for maintaining the temperature of the beverage within the beverage line to within 1/2 DEG Celsius of a desired temperature.
