PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a wireless receiver that can eliminate noise components included in a low frequency signal, in the case of a weak electric field strength and does not deteriorate articulation of the low-frequency signal in the case of a medium/strong electric field strength. SOLUTION: The wireless receiver, that receives and detects a broadcast or communication radio waves for obtaining a low-frequency signal, is provided with a reception section 12 that receives the broadcast or communication radio wave, a detection section 13 that detects a high-frequency signal generated by the reception section receiving the radio wave to generate the low-frequency signal, a band-pass filter 17 that passes a prescribed frequency band of the low frequency signal generated by the detection section, and a control section 1 that monitors the electric field strength of the received radio wave to control operation/non-operation of the band-pass filter. The control section 1 brings the band-pass filter 17 into an operating state, when the electric field strength of the received radio wave is weak.
