PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify working labor and improve a degree of freedom in installing a fluid pressure cylinder by performing air bleeding work for the fluid pressure cylinder at one place. SOLUTION: This air bleeder 3 for the fluid pressure cylinder having a cylinder tube sectioned into first and second cylinder chambers with a piston comprises a check valve device 3 connected thereto to form a free stream from the first cylinder chamber CR1 to the second cylinder chamber CR2, communication passages 32, 33 provided on the downstream side of the free stream of the check valve device 3 for communicating the second cylinder chamber CR2 with the atmosphere at an opening portion, and a screw valve element NT provided in the communication passage 32. The screw valve element NT blocks the communication passages 32, 33 from the atmosphere and pushes a valve element 42 against a valve seat so as to close the valve element 42 of the check valve device 3 when a screw is tightened, and communicates the communication passages 32, 33 with the atmosphere and opens the valve element 42 of the check valve device 3 when the screw is loosened.
