LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING OF THE SAME

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to decrease the number of mask processes, by forming a black matrix pattern and slits of a common electrode through a single mask. A first substrate(110) is prepared. Color filter patterns(120R,120G,120B) are formed on the first substrate. A first electrode(140) is formed on the color filter patterns. A black matrix layer is formed on the first electrode. The black matrix layer and the first electrode are pattern-etched by using the same mask, thereby simultaneously forming slits of the first electrode and a black matrix pattern(150) disposed correspondingly to non-pixel regions.
