PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a training device which makes physical function of elderly people or sick people who are so weakened that independent walk is difficult recovered to the state in which independent walking is possible. SOLUTION: The training device has a chair type main body frame (1) having a backrest section (10) and armrest sections (11), a seat section (2) which is attached to the main body frame (1) so that it can turn in the direction that makes a rear end (21) raise with a fulcrum of a front end (20) from horizontal state, an actuator (3) which turns the seat section (2), a control section which controls movement of the actuator (3) and an operation section (4) which indicates actuation/stop to the control section, then, after the seat section (2) turns in the direction that makes the rear end (21) raise from horizontal state until the head is bent forward according to a start command by the operation section (4), the forward tilting posture is kept for predetermined time and the seat section (2) turns in the direction that makes the rear end (21) fall down until the forward tilting posture is recovered to the horizontal state.
