摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device in which the improvement of light extraction efficiency of emitted light from a light emitting element is contrived, in a bottom-emission organic EL (electroluminescent) device. SOLUTION: The light emitting device 100 is provided with a substrate 10, a first electrode 12 provided on the substrate 10, an organic layer 24 provided on the first electrode 12, and a second electrode 22 provided on the organic layer 24 while the light emitted from the organic layer 24 is irradiated from the side of the substrate 10. In this case, the organic layer 24 is provided with a plurality of function layers including a light emitting layer 18, and at least more than one function layer in the organic layer 24 is constituted of at least one or more minute particles 26 among a conductive minute particles, semiconductor minute particles, and insulating minute particles dispersed therein. The refractory index of at least more than one function layers 14, 16 provided between the light emitting layer 18 and the first electrode 12 is specified so as to be larger than that of the light emitting layer 18.
