PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: time out becomes long even when a failure, such as abnormal operation of a device or a bus causing the bus always being used, occurs and so abnormality detection is delayed. SOLUTION: Respective devices 11 to 16 have: bus transfer control units 14 for controlling a common bus 1 to perform data transfer to other devices; timers 121 for detecting time out with respect to response reception from the partner devices of the data transfer; suspend control units 15 for driving a common suspend signal line 7 and interrupting data transfer including other devices in response to time out detection; and diagnosis control units 16 for transmitting commands to the other devices to determine whether or not there are responses to the commands.
