An artificial breast comprises a backing piece 1, a shaped front membrane 3 and an inner membrane 2 defining a first pocket 8 containing weighting material 7 and a second pocket 9 for containing additional weighting material. The backing piece 1 may be of sheepskin, the front membrane being of woven wool the first weighting material 7 being of siliconised glass beads, the additional weighting material taking the form of bags 12 containing granular weighting material 13. The second pocket may have an opening through which the bags 12 and padding 14 may be introduced and removed in order to vary the number of bags and padding to suit the wearer. The front membrane may be of two or more pieces so as to achieve the flexibility of shaped desired. Specification 1,132,694 is referred to. |
