Pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of high blood presure incorporate (a) a reserpine constituent, (b) a dihydroergocristine constituent and (c) N-(cis-2,6-dimethyl piperidino)-4-chloro-3-sulphamoyl benzamide (clopamide). Components (a) and (b) may be in the form of the free base or the water-soluble, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, e.g. hydrochlorides, hydrobromides, sulphates or methane-, benzene- or toluene-sulphonates. The compositions may be in the form of tablets, dragees or injectable solutions for enteral or parenteral administration. Components (a), (b), and (c) may be present in the following proportions by weight 1:1-20:5-1000. |
