Antiplasmin-active esters of trans-4-amino methyl cyclohexane-1-carboxylic acid and 4-aminomethylbenzoic acid M3A. Of formula:- QCOO-Aryl (I) (where Q= NH2.CH2 or NH2CH2 ; Aryl= phenyl, pyridyl, pyridyl-N-oxide, naphthyl, all opt. substd. by one or more OH, halogen, NO2, opt. substd. NH2, COOH, CHO, SO2NH2, alkyl, (C1-C6), alkenyl (C1-C6), phenyl, carboxyalkoxy, carboxyalkenyl, alkoxycarbonyl, carboxy-alkylcarbonyl, hydroxyalkyl, carboxyalkyl in any of which the alkyl groups may be subst. by NH2, OH or halogen) and their salts, are used as antiplasmic agents which are particularly stable in blood. These esters are many times more active than the acids themselves. Useful in treating haemorrhages caused by defibrination. The anti-trypsin and antikallikrein activity of (I) makes them useful in treatment of acute pancreatitis.
